‘During these 65 years, Susan has exemplified extraordinary in every endeavor she has ever partaken in from the time she was playing against the boys on the streets in Boston to her military days in the United States Army to her playing days at Roxbury Community College to Lamar University where she became one of the trailblazers of the Original “W,” the WBL, the Women’s Basketball League.
Her passion and light have shined down on and through people for her entire life, especially the young women at Roxbury Community College and Miami Dade Community College where she served as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach and Associate Professor for nearly 40 years and she continues to inspire people all around the world as a motivational speaker, said Hootner.’
