Broward’s Black Republicans and Friends held an elegant black-tie reception celebrating Black History Month on February 29th at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Deerfield Beach, Florida. The Gala Sponsors were Americans For Trump, Republican Party of Broward County and Republican Party of Palm beach County.

The Frederick Douglass Gala featured Lucdwin Luck, President of the Broward Black Republican Club, Guest Speaker Phil Bell, Director of External Affairs at Freedom Works, Guest of Honor Florida Representative Byron Donalds, Dr. Rev David Doriscar, Pastor Jerry Taylor, and Special Guest Actress/Singer Mary Millben. Millben, a Helen Hayes Award Nominee sang the National Anthem at the gala. The V-Connection Band kept the audience entertained with R&B and Funk favorites.

Carol Storms of BADAZZ Foundation, an inner -city community relations non profit, served as Honorary Gala Committee Member.
