Artist Ola Santana Discovers the Perfect Canvas and A Little Inspiration from a South Beach Musician for her Colorful New Work

Self-taught artist Ola Santana from Puerto Rico said frequent treks to Sunset Harbor in Miami Beach to her favorite pizzeria shop became the inspiration for her latest mural.
“Anytime I’d go to Miami Beach to visit my favorite spot I wondered, “Who owns that wall?!” I fell in love with the location and visibility and I knew I had to find out who the point of contact was,” said Santana.
After emails and numerous stops at the property, she learned it was actually owned by a local businessman/musician named Al LoJack. “I finally got a hold of the owner Al, and fortunately for me, he is not only a talented artist in his own right but an art aficionado.”
“Once we met, Al and I had a clear understanding of how we wanted to collaborate. He wanted to have a different way to reach his audience as a musician and he wanted to show others who might not know me who I was as an artist. It’s been a pleasure meeting and getting to work…
