Susan Summons, a renowned motivational speaker, Hall of Famer, and legendary Miami Dade College Women’s Basketball coach, recently delivered a powerful talk to law enforcement and police officials at the Dedication To Community Training Program in Miami. The event, held at Big Brothers Big Sisters, aimed to provide conflict resolution training and community strategies for a more unified community, featuring 6 sessions focused on taking action on the courts and in the community.

The event was co-sponsored by the City of Miami, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami, Florida Blue, and the Miami Heat, and was attended by police officers and officials who had completed the training program.

In her talk, Summons ignited the audience with her motivational message, inspiring them to become active agents of positive change in their communities. She expressed gratitude to the program’s Founder & CEO, M. Quentin Williams, a former FBI Agent, Author, and International Speaker, for the opportunity to be part of the program’s moment of building.

“I am honored to have been a part of this crucial training program and to have had the opportunity to inspire these law enforcement and police officials to make a positive impact in their communities,” said Summons.

“Susan was phenomenal at Dedication To Community’s (D2C) education session yesterday. In a matter of minutes, she was able to profoundly inspire our audience of law enforcement officers and community members. We are thankful for her participation in our session and pray that she continues to encourage society to reach for the stars,” said M. Quentin Williams.

Dedication To Community (D2C) is a national nonprofit organization that educates society about justice — including economic, social, criminal, and procedural justice. D2C works closely with law enforcement and the public to resolve issues, with a solution-based construct, between law enforcement and the communities served.

Summons also expressed her gratitude to Nouchelle Hastings of the organization Women Empowering Women for inviting her to participate in the program. “Ms. Hastings has dedicated her life to helping individuals and communities build a better future, it’s always an honor to contribute to her stellar initiatives,” said Summons.

Coach Summons’ motivational message was well-received by the attendees, who left the event feeling inspired and empowered to make a difference in their communities.
