Former Lamar U. Basketball Star and WBL Pro Legend Susan Summons Returns to Texas to Deliver Rise Tour Keynote Against Human Trafficking

On May 6th, 2022, Hall of Fame Winning Coach and Motivational Speaker Susan Summons, a two-time MDC Endowed Teaching Chair Recipient, will inspire an audience of speakers, professionals, and entrepreneurs as keynote speaker at the Rise With Perspective Living in Gratitude Today-Awakening symposium at Hilton University of Houston. The event aims to bring diverse leaders and influencers from Houston to Florida together to offer perspective and sound the alarm on Human Sex Trafficking.
‘While our children and young adults face the threat of human sex trafficking; a barrier is a non-alert adult, said Organizer Nouchelle Hastings. At Rise, we will hear from passionate advocates and experts who have dedicated their lives to educating, training, developing, and re-educating on human sex trafficking as well as motivational leaders like Summons who help our young navigate tough times by teaching life skills through the lens of gratitude. Known as the cleanup woman, Summons, WBL Pro Legend, Hall of Famer, Professor, and Coach, will wrap up our panel with a soul-compelling talk that will ignite our audience to rise with perspective and engage in a call to action,’ said Hastings.
