Florida Non Profit Reading Pays More kicks off its Sports Reading & Entertainment Campaign
Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Florida Non Profit Organization ReadingPaysMore, launches its SRE Campaign to encourage parents to read with their children. SRE stands for Sports Reading & Entertainment. Knowing that some of our most brilliant minds, who are avid readers, are in the sports and entertainment industries, Reading Pays More is asking them to use their powerful influence to encourage reading in America and all over the world by posting pictures of them reading to their babies, starting in the womb to 3 years old to #readingtomybaby and asking their followers to do the same.
One of the most urgent social needs in the United States today is to increase the reading and comprehension skills of our children so we can reduce the school-drop out rates. (Please click on the following link to see U.S reading score and specific states.)
The women and men in the sports and entertainment industries are the biggest influencers through social media in our society today. We believe that by integrating reading within the sports and entertainment industries, these influential figures can help build brain power and increase our children’s reading scores so that our children can become self-sufficient adults and enjoy more satisfying and prosperous lives. It is a win-win situation for everyone, because the more financially prosperous we are as a society, the greater the number of ticket sales to entertainment and sports events.
Studies have shown that reading to a child, starting in the womb, is proven to be the single most important thing a parent can do to ensure their child’s success in school and later in life. Reading to children between ages 0 and 3 years old age creates strong positive relationship between child and parent that last a lifetime, improves a child’s language and critical thinking development — the best predictor of school and financial success.
“We want to spread the word that reading is not only fundamental, but it also helps children to become happier, healthier and more prosperous adults,” says Georgia Robinson, President of ReadingPaysMore. And it is especially important for parents to read with their young boys, she said. “A large numbers of boys aren’t reading, and this fact is contributing to a daunting achievement gap between boys and girls,” Robinson said. So we want to take this simple small step to help benefit our children’s future. LETS READ AMERICA!

About Reading Pays More
We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that markets the financial and other benefits of reading.
OUR MISSION is to nurture a culture of reading so that every child is reading and comprehending above AGE- level.
ReadingPaysMore (RPM) was founded Georgia D.N. Robinson, who serves her community as an attorney, mediator and reading ambassador. She has a passion for education but found that the fundamental skill of reading, above all, was being neglected. Georgia also speaks on the topics of student motivation and entrepreneurship.
Georgia saw first-hand how the lack of basic reading skills could affect and alter someone’s way of life, as her father was illiterate and struggled to maintain the “back office” of his business. Georgia spent many of her childhood days reading her father’s business letters, writing and responding to customers and contractors.
RPM is part of Georgia’s vision to foster a culture of reading in every community and ensure that every child is reading and comprehending above grade-level regardless of the status of her or his biological parents.
She believes that through RPM children will not only build a better future for themselves but will become caring, confident and self-sufficient adults who will continue to share their knowledge and love of words by paying it forward.
